Ways To Get Involved
As a Board Member. Our Board has “up to 15” members (as the by-laws indicate) with representatives from the community and from the church’s congregation. The Board meets periodically, usually in the gathering space below the Church’ sanctuary. There may be occasional committee meetings between Board meetings, particularly when an event is planned. If you are interested in Board service, please contact [email protected].
As a Volunteer. Previous fundraising events like “Welcome to Summer in Spencertown” (usually held over Memorial Day weekend) or the Kitchen Tour require lots of hands to make light work. When you provide your email, we will provide information regarding upcoming opportunities to support the latest program. Sign up if you’re interested, and we’ll be in touch.
As a Donor. Perhaps you support the ongoing restoration and maintenance of the beautiful Church structure, but your schedule does not permit you joining the volunteers or, possibly, the Board. If you’d like to provide financial support, please visit our Donation Page now. Your contributions are tax-deductible; you will receive a letter of acknowledgment of your donation for your records.
Share your ideas. We welcome your feedback regarding how the Friends may raise awareness among Town residents and potential supporters regarding the important work to be accomplished. Ideas for fundraising are most welcome — put your thinking caps on! Send suggestions to [email protected].
The ongoing maintenance of this historic structure requires financial support.
While many major projects have been accomplished, the impacts of time and use will require future efforts. The Friends’ funds have been reduced by the most recent painting project, so additional fundraising is required before any new efforts are undertaken.
